Founder's, December 18

The full band will be appearing on December 18 at Founders as a headlining act. Founders website doesn't list a supporting act yet, and I'll update once I hear more.

A Winter's Tune

Chance Jones will be playing next Sunday, December 7, at the Wealthy Theater for the 2008 "A Winter's Tune" show. There are a ton of local acts on the bill, and all of them will be playing traditional or original holiday songs. The show runs from 2-5:30 pm, is all ages, and costs $10 in advance, or $12 at the door. I don't know if this is a full band show, or if Chance will be appearing solo. The website has more information.

It looks like the show will be recorded and the songs will be available for purchase online, as well.

Local Resonance

Chance Jones appeared on WYCE's excellent Local Resonance in February of this year, sitting for an interview and performing unplugged versions of "Carolina Breeze" and "Crosstown." Click here to listen to the archived copy of the show.

Upcoming Album

The band is at work tracking their new album for Friction Records. Recent live staples "Nobody's Baby" and "My Sunshine" are two of the tracks being worked on and considered. There is no release date yet, but the band is working towards a winter 2009 completion date.

The band is also working on the idea of releasing some of the older Chance Jones material that has been reworked live as a full band. Tentatively titled The Letter 11, songs like "C.I.A. Operative," "Venango County," and "Make It In the City" would be contenders for this release.
