Jammies XI, The Intersection, February 16

Congratulations to the band for winning Best Alternative or Electronic Album for The Incident at Primrose and West!

Set list:
Love's Still Wild
Alone With Him
My Machine

They really put on an amazing set, with Wild flowing directly into Alone. Very cool. A high energy, almost visceral set. Everybody was listening and into it. Great crowd, great vibe. Looks like GRTV was there to tape the set and the evening in general, so I'll look into getting a copy of that uploaded and embedded soon.

Congrats to Drew Nelson for winning Album of the Year!

At the end of this report, you can hear the band performing "Alone With Him."

A complete list of finalists and award winners.

John Sinkevics with a write-up and a YouTube clip with a few moments of Love's Still Wild. Can't argue with the lead pic from his blog article.

Bowery, congratulations on your two Jammies!

Jammies XI

WYCE's Jammies XI will be coming soon. It looks like the nominees have been announced, and I'm sure that they are organizing the acts for this year's show. I'll let you know when I know. In the meantime, here's a look from John Sinkevics at last year's show. I'm sure that you'll note the hijinks that take place towards the end of the video.

Two Weekend Lists in a row...

John Sinkevics' Soundcheck blog has correctly identified a Chance Jones performance as a top thing to attend for the second weekend in a row. The big question...will he make it three-for-three with next weekend's show at Mulligans?

Once again, local artists perform holiday songs, both new and original, at the Wealthy Theater for A Winter's Tune, Sunday at 2 pm. Hope you can make it...

Soundcheck

I missed this last week, but here's a blurb about the show, along with a download of "Going to See Michelle" from John Sinkevics. John also had the Intersection show listed in his Weekend List.

Grand Rapids Press article

Here's a nice article from today's Grand Rapids Press.

Remember that tomorrow night is the album release show at the Intersection. This is a 17+ older show, $5 at the door, which opens at 9 pm. Two sets, one of older material, and the second is Primrose in its entirety. Should be a classic show, so bring your friends and family.
